Ok guys... here is an update.
My Brother in Law came by yesterday and took out the Skis
(he said it was doing the same thing... ran like 25-30MPH MAX) I had him change the plugs to ones that i know are gapped correct and were working fine.
He did that told me it ran up to 50MPH again.... It still feels like it has more power when it hits 30MPH he said.
I checked the plugs that were in it and they were gapped WAY TO LARGE.
I went to .022 (My book said between .020 -.024) I figured .022 was a good gap.
I will reinstall these and see if it was a gapping isuue.
(I must not have checked the GAP when i installed them
) Poor Skis...
I will pull the SPX's today and check the GAP on them... maybe go out again in a few days.

i dont know if anyone on here can help me too... my boyfriend has the same prob im pretty sure he has a 97 gtx too... it basically hits 30-35 and boggs down almost like there is no gas left but he has a full tank also when he puts in the dess it doesnt beep at all he replaced the air sensor im pretty sure and it did do the two short beeps for a little and he put it in the water and it didnt beep anymore is there anything i can tell him to do at this point hes ready to sell it and get a new one i need help!!!!!
