Just picked up a used GTX and installed a new battery. Plug in the safety switch and no beeps or computer light up but start button turns over engine. Bad DESS or should I be looking into computer issues?
Thanks!

Could simply be a failed beeper,,or gauges are fried.,,,you can easily check the beeper,,,disconnect the connector,,,I like to put a test light in the connector coming from the MPEM,,,it will pulse/light twice when you just put the key on.

Yes, what POPPS says....most likely a bad beeper....they fail. If the key in and press SS button, turns the engine over, the computer recognizes the key. FIX the beeper. Check electric pathway to the guage cluster....corrosion plays havoc on electric pathways.....check all plugs(connectors) along the way....open/close, wiggle jiggle......get the drift!

I'd pull the plugs and try to start it.....if it turns over faster (no plugs, no cylinder resistance), a few squirts of gas/oil mix into each cylinder, put plugs in and try to start again......IF she tries to start, coughes....you are on your way......carbs will need attention...NO DOUBT on that ....good luck
