I have got lots of revs but next to no acceleration seems to have a lot of cavitation ie white water out the back of the ski great at top end speed but what is causing the slip on acceleration???

impeller or wear ring. pull the pump. if they aren't horrible, the pump is sucking air at the seam where the wear ring contacts the hull. fat bead of silicone, and reattach the pump.
