My daughter was out riding 97 GSX yesterday when all of sudden started to bog down. Couldn't get the ski to come up out of the water. She idled it back to shore and when I got home from work it would not start. I'm getting spark, compression, and fuel. I'm just not sure if it is getting enough fuel. It doesn't appear to have overheated. I tried to get a small amount of mixed fuel in the carburators, but still no fire. There is about 160 hours on the craft. Main fuel filter is clean. are there other fuel filters on the carbs?

Yes there are filters in the carbs but if you put fuel in the carbs and it still would not cough/start/hickup, then I would check to see exact compression, how did your plugs look? Also are you sure it is not flooding out? pull the plugs and ground the wires and crank it over see if it spits fuel, of course you will have to turn your fuel off, but you can also pinch the fuel line off. Do you have the grey fuel lines? Also switch to reserve tank on the fuel selector if it has it.

Yes, it still has the gray fuel lines. When I first pulled plugs they looked wet but appear to be more oily than gas. With the plugs out and I crank it over full throttle, not spitting fuel but I can smell it.
