History on ski
It looks brand new with 60hrs on it
I'm 3rd owner
1st owner let it freeze and bust got sbt rebuilt motor
2nd owner let it freeze and bust jugs
I put 2 jugs and pistons in from sbt BUT didn't get rist pin in all the way ckd it twice (dumbass) SO now need another set of jugs and piston
SO NOW MY QUESTION IS do I exchange jugs and piston with sbt OR do I do complete engine exchange and is the premium engine worth the extra money the only difference I read is the 2 you warranty but not sure the other difference
Please advise what would be the best thing to do if this was you

It's all a function of money. The best, but most expensive option is to replace the engine. I don't know for sure but I doubt there is any difference between the 2 year warranty motor and the regular one other than price (insurance) plus you get all the gaskets to install the engine. If you replace parts yourself, it's a lot cheaper, but of course there is no warranty. Jugs are not expensive but you can change just the sleeve if you have the tools. Have you checked the bottom end for metal shavings and the exhaust water jackets for freeze damage? Since the wrist pin is below the rings, shavings from the wrist pin could have been shoved downward into the crankcase. If former owners didn't clear the engine they probably didn't drain the exhaust system either.

Yah other jug OK and bottom end feels OK would like to send it someone and be done with it after jacking with both for almost a month it seems like I also have a twin but only 1 none $$ dealer in my area and they r backed up that was my thought on complete engive less time and worries I do understand I could have the same standard engine with new jugs with only 60 hrs if there is no difference in a premium engine

I'd get the premium engine. Up north think seasons when it comes to engine warranties. A one year will give the last half of this season. If you have a problem next spring when everyone else is starting up their engines after sitting all winter, some busted from ice, it may take a while to get another engine and get it installed eating up some or all of the remainder of your warranty.
