I am trying to fix a my friends jet ski which seems to be filling up completely with oil. I am pretty sure it has to be the oil pump. I guess my question is there another alternative other then replacing the oil pump? Is there a fix that anyone knows of? Thanks for the info.

Sounds like the inner crank seals are leaking. your engine has a rotary valve shaft that runs perpendicular to (and is run by) the crankshaft. This cavity is full of oil and is sealed off from the cylinders by 2 seals on the crankshaft. the crankshaft has to come apart to replace these seals.

Well just to add more to the topic. It is filled with oil right up to the throttle body. And it is filling up without the engine running which if it is like a snowmobile, which I am more adapt to working on, that shouldn't be able to happen am I correct? Or do you think it is still the inner crank seals?
