Check all your lines real good because if it starts sucking air into the system it will run lean and bye bye pistons

That thing looks good man, do you have the cover that goes with all those snaps? I'm interested in one like that

Made it to the lake and actually took it off the trailer!! Both engines started and ran up to about 4k at WOT. After a bit, one motor went up to 7k and then the other did the same. Before it went to 7k, there was a vibration coming from the port motor but went away once it reved up. After a while the starboard had a hard time and the wouldn't start. I'm thinking popoff pressure is to high and not allowing the high speed circuit to opwn up. I'm going to test compression on the starboard and hope it's good.

Looking at this exact same boat. Will be following this thread closely. Looks like your on the right path, good luck to you.

Checked compression and found none... Tore into motor and found pistons all jacked up. I decided to pull the entire motor out and do a full rebuild. I am planning on putting new sleeves in the jugs since I already bored them out once. I guess I could just bore them out to 1mm over to save some money, anyone have experience with 1mm over?

Could it have been sucking air and running lean as snickwad003 suggested back at post 26? Reading this forum is great, but it's making me gun shy.

I don't think it was lean, I have been hyper-sensitive about this and while it was running, I choked it a bit to see what would happen. It made the engines start bogging and shutting down so I felt good about fuel/air ratio. I think the rave valve impacted the piston since that's where all the metal came off the piston and the rave valve had a big gouge on them. I suppose that it could have happened differently and the piston chunk hit the rave after it broke off but I don't think I'll ever know for sure.

if you decide to resleeve mark your new sleeves so they will line up perfectly . place in freezer for a couple hours and cylinders in oven to about 350f. here is a video of me installing a sleeve the way i explained.

So after sleeping on it, I have decided to send the jugs off to Full Bore and "have them done". The cylinder walls are still smooth with one small scratch so I think 1mm over will work. I can also send the RVs to be sure enough is taken off. Since I had a problem with hydra-locking with oil, I plan on replacing the crank seal while I wait on the jugs. I'll get a good look at the crank and bearings while I'm at it. Also, I found the MAG case has 5 bolts broken so there will be plenty of drilling to do in case turn around time is slow...
