Just picked up a 97 challenger 110hp that needed some engine work. I purchached it knowing it probably needed carb kits, at least thats what the guy said. I think he's had problems with it and thats why he sold it. Anyway, we put in new fuel, fuel filter, plugs and cleaned out the carbs. At times I have problems getting two beeps so the starter wont engage and other times it beeps and spins over like crazy. I did go into advanced mode and received no codes. It has good spark and fuel. I can get it to fire and run at times on the trailer. I even had it running on the lake but it wouldnt get on plane. The engine would just sputter and miss like it had bad plugs. Ever time I pull the plugs they are soked with gas. Even if I dry them off and spin it a bit, they come out soaked again. I ordered carb kits and am going to install them Tuesday. Hoping that takes care of it.
