96 xp with umi bars, where do i mount my beeper ???

i dont want to cut it out, and i'm thinking that its not water proof, so where can i mount this bad boy ? where have you all mounted your beepers? seadoosnipe? i know you always have clever and informative answers lol :coolgleam:

some guys mount them in the hood compartment but I think the RXX had it mounted in a fairly open area, attached a pic of my old one but I can't see it but think it has a bracket on the other side of the bars. they are somewhat waterproof, they definitely get wet in the handlebar pad through the holes, prolly while they don't last.
