Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I've done a lot of searches and couldn't find anything close to my problem.
I just rebuilt the engine with all new crank bearings and seals. I also took the carbs off and cleaned them out, cleaned all 3 fuel filters and cleaned out the fuel tank. I still have the gray fuel lines which i'm going to be changing on monday.
The problem is that I cannot get it to start up with out squirting gas into the carbs. Once I do that it runs perfect on idle with about 2400 rpm and it revs up with no hesitation and comes back down to idle and runs fine. I can shut it off and wait about a min and then it'll start right back up. If I wait about 5 min then I have to go back to squiting gas into the carbs to get her going again.
Now when I try to start it up without squirting gas into the carbs while choking it, it seems like it wants to fire but can't. While doing this it sometimes backfires through the carbs
Any Ideas on this would be greatly appreciated...
