with less air restriction, you'll need to lower the "pop-off" pressure in the n/s (needle and seat) assy.
Heres the stock set-up..
1996 XP 787 (2) BN-40I (SB) MAIN-142.5 PILOT-70 1.5n/s 23psi - 43psi LOW(lsa)- 1 HIGH(hsa)- 0
Have read, where with install'n those/less restrictive filters, need to lower the pop-off to around 20psi +/- few psi, inwhich a 2.0n/s and "black" springs/80gm, will do the trick.
.......have this set-up if needed.....
As for jetting, i'm sure you'll need atleast a few sizes bigger for each of the pilot and main jet, butt will dig around, see if cant find what sizes.
...need 75lows and 145mains..3/4 turn from closed and start out there then adjust as necessary to get good accelleration while still maintaining a fairly clean idle.
, and 0-hsa/mag, 1/4-hsa pto.
