I got a question that prolly could be answered but with a lot of unknowns. heres the deal I have a 96 xp that I just bought for $75 (it was in pieces) I put it all back together and actually got it running, good compression 142-144 on each cylinder. When running and various speeds and WOT it runs great. However when just idleing (it idles fine) then getting on the gas sometimes it hesitates or bogs really bad almost dies. This happen sparatically I alsmost have to pump the throttle to find a sweet spot to take off, once it stablizes runs like a champ.

I had an extra MPEM that I switched out to use a beeter looking key and this problem started.

There are grey fuel lines in there I know these have issues.
I checked the fuel filter and its fine.
got new plugs and battery.

My question is does the computer regulate how much fuel is being delivered to the motor? the ski almost acts like its fouling out rather then not enough gas.

any ideas besides change the grey lines because I know that already.

think you need to replace the grey fuel lines...

Sounds like a carb issue and settings on carbs. mpem doesnt regulate fuel flow.

Thanks for the info where the best spot to buy a carb rebuild kit?

I have a parts machine that the carbs are already of of I think I might just try switching carb banks.

I also will be replacing the grey lines..... there some questions I have about this will 20ft be enough to swap out the system. Also what size from the seach ive used it seems like people argue about size.

your ski, get about 25ft of 1/4in fuel hose. Dont need to "rebuild" them, just tear apart/dissassemble everything...high/low adjusters, n/s assy..etc. Tear everything out, and clean w/ carb cleaner.
