96 XP 787 seems to flood when sitting

Pretty sure it was the rectifier, pulled the red wire and it runs good on the trailer.
So on to the carbon seal, impeller.

One other question, when I push the start button it takes maybe 5 seconds before it actually cranks the engine. Is that normal on the Dess machines? My 95 XP cranks instantly, when you hit the button.

I’m wondering about the battery, looks like some eBay cheapie. I will have to see what the cranking amps are.
Do you know what the recommended is?

Suppose that could be the problem. The one that’s in there is only 210cca. Maybe I will try the battery out of the 95xp
Now I pulled the pump though, probably be a while till I get that fixed.

Well I threw the pump back on and switched batteries, still getting this lag time when I hit the start button. It clicks and then it finally cranks a few seconds later.
Is there some starter solenoid that might be going bad, or something like that?
Could this be why the rectifier went bad?

I came across this looking for other answers but for my 96 Seadoo challenger there is in fact a starting solenoid in the electrical box. Mine was bad and it would only click when I attempted to start. If I tried a few times it would actuate enough to clear the points inside the solenoid enough to engage the starter. I replaced the unit and have had no issues with engaging the starter since.

I also have the Rotax 787.
