I have a 96 SPX. The VTS does not work. I tested the motor and it works, I tested the switches and they work. I bought a new VTS module from Seadoo and it does nothing when I hit the up switch and it beeps when I hit the down switch, thats all it will do. I sent the module back to be tested at Seadoo which may take a week or two.
Any ideas? The new module did the exact same thing the old module did, beep when I hit the down switch so I could put the old one back in if I new of anything else to try.
The gauge does not appear to be working, it looks like it had water in it. Could that be the problem? I tried unplugging it but it made no difference.
I also did the tests shown in the service manual which is just testing the Ohms on the gauge wire. It showed 164 ohms no matter what position the trim motor was in (I had to direct wire the motor to power/ground to make it move).
Maybe they sold me a bad module I don't know, I'm open for ideas. I have heard of relays on other models but I have not seen any and there are none shown on the wiring diagram. Help!
