So i have switched over to a single duralst gold 800 cca battery. Just installed a pioneer premier 400 cd/mp3/usb player and power bass marine speakers 6.5". Put it on the water ran great the cavitation has been getting less and less. So I am assuming the thru hole seal is just a little wore out. I was able to pull a wake 180 lb wake boarder with 3 of us on the boat! Takes a while to get on plane around 20 mph or so.

But I have a few questions.

one of my throttles returns when I let off and one stays where I leave it. Which is correct?

I would like to install a spotters seat. Anyone tried that yet? I was thinking about this http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=196614&kwtid=206737 I was wondering how I could mount it and if the back has enough support on it own. Or should I try a folding chair with a short pedistal?

How have yall been mounting down your coolers?

Thanks,

Jeff

When you bring throttle down, engine should not rev as much, sounds your butterfly/s is sticking, or throttle cable is get'n bad. You can atach a double hoop spring to carb, where throttle is at, help with the retun of butterflys...

It might need that return spring. So if I am at half throttle and I take my hand off should it stay at half throttle or return to idle? One stays in place and the other returns to idle. I'm not sure which is correct.

Friction

This may also be the result of throttle friction being out of adjustment, if one of your levers is sticky it might keep it from returning. Friction is set by a set screw for each throttle. First pull up the whole throttle assembly. The left friction is a set screw on the right side, the right friction is the center screw on the left side of the assembly. yes there are two totally different places for the two settings.

those arms should stay where you push them to. wouldn't make sense for them to return to center, then youd have to drive with one hand...

Sorry I am just a little confused.

So to clarify. The throttle should stay in the position I leave it in not return to idle like a car or jetski does. Am I correct there? But either way I can adjust one of them out.

thanks

jeff

Should Stay Put

Both throttles should stay put. if one creeps back, it is almost certainly due to friction adjuster coming loose.
