hello, i am having trouble identinfying my rectifier. Opened the box in front of battery thinking it would just jump out at me, obviously being the stock one it seems nothing matches the looks of my aftermarket rectifier. Help would be appreciated beyond words at this point. I do have a manual but the rectifier is only talked about in text.

hello, I have a '96 gtx. The rectifier is NOT located next to the battery. Remove the forward storage compartment (it will just lift out). Look for the grey electrical box mounted on the left sidewall. release the side tabs to free entire box from hull, then release front tabs to separate box. your rectifier is attached inside by two bolts. It has three yellow wires and one red one. Hope this helps.

:hurray: Thank you so much!:cheers:Exactly where you said it would be. Did not even realize that particular compartment could lift out. Took about ten minutes. Thanks again for the reply. The symptoms before this question was 12V low on a brand new battery in case others run into the same situation.
