I have a few questions....
1. Do these motors have a oil pan or something and lubes the crank case? Or is it lubed with the oil (pre-mix oil).
2.Adjusting the black cap with the red dot (rave valve I believe) could it hurt the engine? Stock is all the way down if adjusted up what will it do?

1) no, yes

2) no, will open under less exhaust pressure

Counterbalance Oil Check

As far as the oil there is on some 787's a little bolt that you can take out and check and on some you get a about 30mL (1 oz) and thats it. The 1995-1996 787 don’t have a check/fill plug. Oil is added when the engine is assembled and that’s all you get.
