I have a 96 HX. I replaced all the grey gas lines except the vent. I blew through the vent and it was not clogged so I left it. I had the carbs redone with kits . Now if you ride it then stop for five minutes or more it don't like to start. When it finally does start it bogs for 10 to 20 seconds then you can take off. Any Ideas?

Thanks

Buck

Clamps...

Did you replace the clamps? If so, you may want to make sure that none are sucking air.

When the engine is hot, and the flow of fuel stops, any loose connections will suck air into the lines or back into the carbs. Check the lines first. With the carb kits, I'd assume that they were installed correctly. If you find no problems, you may find yourself back in to check the pop off pressure and that the spring, arm and needle valve assembly is properly set.

Syncronized?

The only other problem I can think of would be the idea that they aren't syncronized correctly. Re-check the sync with procedures.

I'm going to bring it back to the shop. They put the carb kits in it, they will have to figure out what is wrong.
