Alright guys this is a weird one. My 96 gtx was running fine the other day, but then the battery died. Once i charged it back up it ran okay on land but when i put it in the water the idle hoped up to 3000rpm, and now stays there. I thought it was the carbs but they seem to be fine, so is it somewhere in the electrical system? I was thinking of taking apart the boxes and tightening everything up to start but has anyone had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

whats it idling at, out of water. WHen install'n new battery, you probably made better contact, vs. other one, and you set your carbs to bad battery/connections?

thats strange. Check the pump assy, and your cooling lines. Also, pull the airbox off, see if your carbs are adjusted correctly. Look at the "flaps" inside.
