I have a 96 Seadoo gti Bombardier and I've been having problems with the manifold. The bolts keep breaking off and water starts pouring in through the manifold. The last time it happened my dad put industrial bolts in and it worked well until we took it to the lake last weekend. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem. Does anyone know what I can do?

edit:The bolts break only after an hour or so of riding time.

hi. which bolts break? manifold to heads or exhaust pipe to manifold? there are 4 that hold exh to manifold and one or 2 more that brace the exhaust down lower. are they installed? do you have a vibration problem? the big can at the rear of the exhaust. are the rubber mounts under it? or is it in the air, hanging from the exhaust pipe? this is unusual.

It's the four bolts. Usually two will break off, right in the middle of the bolt. No vibration problem it runs pretty smooth. As for the rubber mounts I'm not sure i'll have to check that out.

This is also happening on our 95 XP. Bought it used a few weeks ago, engine runs strong, drop it in the lake and then realized the one front bolt and one front stud were broken off and the other two bolts back out in a matter of minutes(manifold to pipe). Drilled out both broken ones, two new studs on those and two new bolts with lockwashers on all 4 and RED loctite and in a matter of an hour they have all worked loose. Rubber grommets still on the exhaust bracket and purple can is still mounted in place with rubber strap. Did you have any luck getting yours to stay tight. Thanks -Ryan
