I have rebuilt the carbs, blown out all lines, new filters etc. The GTi will not run 30 feet without bogging down like the fuel was just shut off, The GTX will run and plane out then bogs down. I havent checked the RAVE system, maybe that next, so I thought I would completely drain all fuel from the system and start over. Any suggestions?

did you replace the gray fuel lines with black? take the carbs apart and check the small filter in them for dirt. this could be your problem.

Im going to do that when they get back from Panama City. The carbs where completly rebuilt last week. Im going to redo the lines, clean out the fuel tank completely and I guess check the filters .......again!

new plugs? BR9ES or BR8ES I believe the 8 is a cooler plug and 9 is the hotter plug, I use each of them.

give that a go. although if one was fouled i would think it would be just a constant bog. but cheap to do if you need something else to eliminate

9'z a cooler plug, the 7'z the hot plug.

Think the prob, lies in the carb rebuild, especially if the screwed with the n/s (needle and seat) spring. If they changed it, with ones from rebuild pack, then, from my own "trial/error", think thats the culprit...

NGK BR8ES is what is called for the 97.The higher the number the cooler the plug.If you put a hotter plug in it it can burn a piston up!!!

From my experience, you need to change out the fuel lines and then set the high and low speed adjusters correctly. I can give you the # or turns for them if needed. I have the manual. I would need to know exactly what models you have.
On the GTI: Low speed 1 1/4 +/- 1/4, High speed 0 turns.
On the GTX: Low speed 1 +/- 1/4, High speed - MAG 0, PTO 1/4
Also need to set the idle to what the manual says. On the GTX it is around 1500 RPM in water. Out of water I don't know.
