so i took it to a shop just a little local guy here at a motorcycle shop and he thought he could get it going. he thought the woodruff key sheared when the motor wouldnt crank. he said it was but couldnt get it to fire after he said he replaced it. so he called his buddy who he said is a certified water craft tech, and they said it would be going in 2 days well i went thruogh the 4th weekend without it. now today they finally call and said they had it figured out. they said when the motor was rebuilt that the palce messed up the fuel pump and that gas was leaking straight into the crank and thats why it was locking up and not cranking. that they were trying to find a diagphram and seal kit for the pump to have it going.
now i thought the fuel was sucked through the carbs by the diagphrams that were in the carbs, is there even a fuel pump on the 787 96 gsx? or did they just take my shit out for the weekend?:ack: help please someone and thanks

So much, for his buddy, being and expert jetski mechanic. IF that was the case, it leak from the "needle" inside carb, or your pulse line iis connected to the "out" fitting from fuel pump. F-in dealers/shops.

Thats what i thought was it would have to be a needle now they said they got the"parts" in today but i am about to ride down there in a few minutes to see wtf is going on. It never leaked before. I had to pull the motor back out when i found the starter hole bent and no gas was ever in it like they are saying so if it is its because they messed it up. How do you mess up a needle?

YEAH I FIGURED OUT THE ARROW THING TOO BUT TOO LATE THATS WHY I DID A COMPLETE REBUILD THIS YEAR LOL:stupid:

lol...o-well, live/learn.

GO GET UR F-IN SKI......those guys are jokes.

For "needle" its in the carb, the n/s assy..needle/valve assy, could be stick'n.

Well i just went down there and seen what was ordered and it was the diagphram and gaskets for the fuel pump that is on the carbs. I told them it had to be the needle and they said they had it and i should have it back today. So i have my fingers crossed on it and if not i'm going to get it back and take it elsewhere

East Coast Cycle

I just had my 951 rebuilt by those East Coast guys. They came highly recommended and from everything I read, they did great work.I am a little worried now!!!
My engine is running great, but now I am concerned that it might fly apart...or something!! :ack:

DID YOU MEASURE YOUR COMPRESSION WHEN YOU GOT IT BACK OR SINCE YOU RODE? WHEN I CHECKED MINE I HAD 120 AND 109 I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID IT WOULD COME UP AFTER THE RINGS SEAT. THEY SAID IT SHOULD BE ABOUT 120 BUT EVERY POST I READ EVERYONE IS ABOUT 140 TO 165 OR SO SO I WAS WONDERING WHAT YOURS MAY BE:confused:

Never crossed my mind to do a compression check. I received my motor when promised. (end of June) It looked great, and I installed it with no real problems except, of my own doing. I improperly installed the PTO carb base gasket. :stupid: When I fixed the problem, it fired right up (thanks timmyboy)and it ran great.
I am currently out of town on business for a couple of weeks but, I guarantee you that I will be checking the compression first thing when I get back.

My Sea Doo manual recommends 1.05L / 36oz. "break-in" oil per 15 gal.
That is what I have currently have in the tank. Do you think this is right?

well i get to pick up my ski this morning and i also bought a little 95 sp lastnight for my girl to ride and tow me back if i break down again lol. i thought i read in mine to put 16 oz in the tank and i left my manual with the gut that has it

WELL I PICKED IT UP TODAY AND GOT A NEW BATTERY FOR IT GOT IT CHARGER AND WENT TO INSTALL IT AND I SEE THE EXHAUST HOSE ISNT ON AND I SAW THE FITTING FROM THE HULL IS BROKE AND THE HOSE IS BLEW OUT AT THE END! WELL IT HAD TO BE FROM WHEN IT BACKFIRED ON ME RIGHT? WELL IT DOES FIRE RIGHT UP AS SOON AS I HIT THE BUTTON. SO NOW I HAVE TO FIX THIS AND ORDERED PARTS ALREADY. NOW MY QUESTION IT WHAT IS THE LITTLE CLEAR HOSE FOR THAT GOES ON THE FITTING FROM THE HULL? IF I CAN RIG IT UP WITH SOME PVC PIPE TILL MY PARTS COME AND I DONT HOOK UP THE LITTLE HOSE TILL THEN WHAT WILL IT DO?
