96 gsx cutting out

I have a 96 gsx with 140 hours. Worked great up until last week. Took out and runs fine until you give it full throttle or hits 700 rpm then cuts down to 5000 rpm and tehn kicks back in and does teh same thing agaian at 7000 rpm.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated

You might want to check your rev limiter or have you done anything differently with gas?

Mine did the same thing, check the raves and internal fuel filters in the carbs

How do you check the rev limiter?

try new plugs. Mine just did same thing yesterday, installed new plugs, and WHAM..port motor fly'n...

if you can work thru the dead spot and keep it going by fluttering throttle it is fuel delivery...Iwould get a carb kit, and start by redoing them. I would also recommend removing all the grey lines. I just did our 96 gtx, and it has never ran as good, the diff. is amazing. It cant hurt
