Ok so this ski started every time first push of button within the 1st second.

After replacing the fuel lines, and rebuilding the carb, it now takes a bit to start and acts like it is not getting fuel. I have to give it a little gas and it is rough at idle.

Is this the low RPM adjuster? I made sure not to mess with these during rebuild.

Any pointers as to where to start on this. Lets start simple and move to complex... LOL

Go back and make sure all your fuel lines are going to the correct place. If you look at the top of the sending unit they are marked as is the fuel selector.

You didn't change the spring with the one that came in the kit when you rebuilt the carb did you?

Check all connections. You could be sucking air. But I'm betting it is something in the carbs as all was good until you did the work.

I would agree with this too. If there anything I have learned with stuff like this is, when something gets weird, back up to the last things you did. 95% of the time it will be related.

I have always used mikuni replacement parts, & always check for needle/seat leaks & pop off pressures. Also, while it might not be necessary, I also like to check these things before tearing them completely apart so I know where it was at before I make changes of any kind. especially if its a good running machine before hand.

At first sign your motor is lacking performance change the *plugs. If it continues then next is check compression and then the manifold pressure by testing the rotary valve clearance. It should be = .010 or within .002 either tight or loose. Hope you have fresh gas! The MOST important step is fogging the motor before shutting down for the day.

There is no sign my motor is lacking performance. It is hard to start and idles rough. This was after I changed out teh fuel lines and rebuilt the carb. I am thinking low speed idle udjustment? I checked the fuel lines (i used tiewraps to secure) and they all seem ok. once it is started it runs great! It is just slow to start. You need to give it a little gas for it to kick over.

Ok so I checked all teh connections and they seemed ok and tight. They all appear to be going to the right place. IT loads up low speed and idles like crap. I changed the idle screw and then it just idles high but still hard to start. I get out and ride and it has great power, no hesitation and is still fun to ride.

I really really hate carbs!

As asked above, did you change out the spring with the carb rebuild kit? Did you clean or replace the fuel selector?
