Intermittent starting issues. My seadoo has problems with starting when you press the start button sometimes it cranks other times just the solenoid engages. I replaced the solenoid and the positive battery cable, but it still doing the same thing. When checking voltage at the starter solenoid (starter side) sometimes its not there if I disconnect the lead its there every time is it a bad starter? If I jump from battery to starter its fine. Its driving me crazy! Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue? I have a 97 GSX LTD. Just bought it. Are you getting the 12V low alarm on the gauge?

fixed

I just purchased mine as well. I was told it just needed a new switch. What I found was a bad grounding. Battery - terminal goes to the starter I cleaned up all connections from battery to starter to engine. I appears everything is good now kicks every time. Persistance pays off
