95 GTX Primer Pump issues

I have a 95 GTX with the choke removed and a primer pump installed. It's a dual carb. The primer pump doesn't work well at all. It might take 20 pumps to get gas going in the line if at all. My Question, should this yr/model use a primer pump at all? Should I go back to the choke. It's a long run from the pump to the carb. Not sure why the pump doesn't work well but again, should this model be better suited with the choke?

The choke on my 95 GTX works great. The first start of the year always takes awhile, but after that its pretty much the same old procedure. Full Choke Full Throttle hit and hold the starter briefly 3 times. That third time it will sputter just a bit. Then put the choke in and hit the starter and it will fire right up.

Fuel not routeing

On that mdl/yr the fuel selector switch gets gummed or corroded. Read the "carburetor adjustments" sticky thread for the fix.
Also check your fuel water separator cup 0-ring and insured its not cross-threaded when ya screw it on. Its by the steering column.
Take the basket out to see it. Your primer should have the "T" between the two above.
