Hi Everyone, first time here, greetings everyone, I have a running 95GTX and a 98GS which is not running. I was wondering if I can use the single CARB. setup from the 98GS and install it on my 95GTX. It seems like the 98GS CARB has a accelerator pump and the 95GTX doesn't and I am have problems with cold starting but as soon as I pull the plugs out and spray some carb cleaner in the cylinders, it fires right up and it always starts up when its warm.
Any info will be highly appriciated. Thanks, Naren

hey Naren, wouldnt mess w/ running ski, might do something (no offense), mess something up and have 2-non running skis. But yah, the RV manifold will work, to convert to single carb.
Remove the choke system, and install primer kit on the 95. That kit is "love"..

Pulling plugs and priming is not convenient.

I'd use some spray silicone, or wd 40, and spray it in the top of the spark arrestor (down the little hole for fogging the motor). This would effectively send it down the carb(s). Now, it is primed, and the starter does not work so hard, and it lubes it a little to boot.

Just my 2 cents!

Thanks timmyboy, I think I will live with the dual carb. and besides, i think i will lose a little power with a single carb setup. BTW, is the enigine same size as 98 GS?

The 98 GS has a 717cc engine. I have one. It is stamped 717.x cc.
(Decimal of a cc)

I don't think the dual carb one is the same motor... Maybe somebody else will chime in.
