What and how on the driveshaft has to be unhooked to pull the impeller housing off the back of the ski? Is there a clip under the shaft boot?
When putting the housing back on what kind of sealer needs to be used?
Thanks!

There is a special washer on the shaft boot close to the PTO that you are supposed to remove, but I never do. I've had my pump off 3 times in the past year and simply unbolted the the 4 bolts on the housing, removed the necessary hoses, and lines (steering, reverse) and she pulled straight off. In addition to the 4 bolts for the pump housing, the ride shoe and intake grate need to be removed or at least loosened enough to allow the pump to come out. (Ride shoe needs to drop about 2.5 to 3 inches). In some cases they can be a little tough if the shaft is tight, but mine comes right of the shaft without issue (or without a puller).

When putting the pump back on, it is recommended that you use Loctite RVT or some type of RVT gasket maker. While you have the pump off it might be a good time to replace your neoprene ring.

I have all the bolts loose on the impeller. The screws are out of the bottom plate. The clamps are off the driveshaft boot and the impeller housing won't move. It will come as far back as you can pry it on the back of the Seadoo. Is the bottom plate and this housing attached? it won't come down either. I never seen anything so hard to work on. I strippped two bolts off in the housing trying to get the cover off it. That's the reason I need it off. I guess being 14 years old and in the water makes everyhing hard to remove.

Thanks for you help.

There is a little tab on the bottom of the housing that sits in the ride shoe and that is why the shoe should be pushed down a little. You either have to get the shoe off or pry it down enough to pull the pump out.
The manual says not to pry the shoe, but instead use a special tool. I think as long as you are careful you should be able to force the shoe down a few inches by prying it. The pump will not come off without that shoe down at least a few inches.

However, the manual doesn't say that the shoe needs to be removed to pull the pump so who knows. I know the 3 times I took the pump off I pried the shoe down a little being careful not to bend or damage it.

Also, be careful when pulling the pump out. The main inlet nozzle is plastic and can break easily if its doesn't come out straight.

Finally, if your pump doesn't pull out it could be stuck on the shaft in which case you may need a puller. You can also remove the pump and shaft.

As last resort and two days of trying to get the housing out I tried something that worked. I took a small chain ( like on porch swing) . I cut about a foot and half. I bent the two links on the end on a 90 degree angle and bolted the chain the two top outside bolts on the housing. I backed the Seadoo upto a tree and hooked a toe strap to the looped chain keeping it same level as housing. The Seadoo will need to be chained to the front of the trailer so it won't pull backwards. I pulled forward and the the housing popped out easy as pie. Make sure hoses are unhooked inside that go to the housing. There were no tabs on the bottom plate going into the housing. I couldn't get it off anyway.
If anyone reads this what kind of sealant and where to you put it when putting everything back together?

Thanks for all the help from everyone here!
