took the sp to the lake to make sure I had a ski to ride this weekend in case the xp carb rebuild did not go well. And as luck would have it the xp ran 2 mins then it shut down. Got the sp out on the lake and as normal it ran great for about 10 mins then it would just stop and shut down, restarts great. If I ran it 3000 rpms it ran great, full out it ran great for a couple of mins then it would just shut down. This went on for a short period then got it back to shore. Now it cranks but will not hit at all. 2 Seadoos dead within 30 mins. Any idea what is going on? Fuel filter clean, full of fuel and good battery. This thing has never given me one min of trouble. What could it be?

I cant beleive I have to take a xp and a sp to the dealer at the same time.

Help if you can.

Thanks.

I agree with mike_dmt, easiest way to find out if Fuel Delivery problem exists: try Carb Cleaner under or in through intake grate, if it starts, immediately kill it, you have further fuel delivery problems, trash, pump, fuel line direction, Bad Gas, fuel valve-filter-fuel line trash,etc.. I see this all the time due the New additives in Gas today in all skis'! The new additives are tearing carb kits, and fuel lines up. Make sure your engine isn't getting to hot as well!!!

Just trace it back to where you DO have fuel. Could be a number of things, but doesn't sound major. Could be the pump, if you're running one. Could be clogged fuel selector( on/res/off). Start by pulling the supply from the carb.. fuel? If thats the case, move on to carb. No? go back to whatever is upstream.... until you have fuel, and replace/repair whatever is keeping it from flowing... Shouldn't be too bad.
