94 Polaris sl 750 3 cyl. Need a fix!!!

I bought this Polaris and the motor was completely rebuilt, or so he claimed! It lost power so I pulled the top of cylinder off because it had zero compression. There was a hole burnt right through the center of the piston where the sparkplug fires. I broke the motor in properly and this happened after going through 3 tanks of gas. Is it possible that this can happen so quickly and if so what's the cause? I heard this is common with the Polaris 3 cylinder!?

Probably the carb running lean.

Honestly because of the electrical issues and three cylinders the Polaris’s really aren’t worth messing with in my opinion.
