Today I got 8 short beeps then it would start over and do the same. It wasn't running just had the key in off position and had been sitting there about an hour on water. It done this for about 10min then stopped. I've searched on here and in the manual but couldn't find anything. Anyone have any ideas? It's a 2002 utopia 205 w/ m2 240efi thanks

I just looked again and did not find anything telling you what 8 beeps means. Are you shore it was not 4 beeps every 2 minutes. How was your fuel level, oil level, depth finder?

Fuel was almost full and I topped of oil before I left I always fill both before a trip out. I drove maybe 15min on water and stopped for about an hour with key in ignition but in off position. That's when it beeped sounded like 8 consistent beeps then a pause then 8 more did this for about 1 minute or so then just stopped.. weird..

Hey, the manual I have says:

The water separating filter protects the fuel injectors from water and debris. The filter contains
a sensor probe which monitors water level in the filter. If water is above the sensor
probe, the water detection light will come on and the warning horn will begin a series of
beeps.

I don't know how many beeps a "series" of beeps is. maybe 8?
