Finally gettin off my butt from my jet ski hiatus. I'd be a little faster if I wasn't so anal. :D I do enjoy the end result though. I'll be water testing in the next couple of weeks.

Nice n clean! Did you paint the stator wheel & housing yourself? Been thinking I'll want/ need to paint mine too before installing the reman. motor.

Yes but I only paint when the interior surface is really bad.. If there is corrosion cleaning it will help but not prevent it from returning. I use Glyptal. I had an issue paying $20 for a can a few years ago. Looks like the price is through the roof now. It is an electrical insulating enamel and people use it on internal engine parts. Good stuff. You likely don't need anything that good but I have it so I use it. I don't want anything to flake off and cause problems in the future. Good Luck

Certainly looks official! My stator housing is pretty flaky if not bare on the external surface. Could I use any enamel paint maybe a high heat type for this too?

I'm not sure about using other paints. the Glyptal goes back a long way as internal engine paint and surface enhancer. Considering the cost now.... I might give a shot at using a good oil-based paint. None of the cheap stuff though. We have an aircraft anti-corrosion spray (Corrsion-X) that is really good. It doesn't hurt electrical connections either. I thought about doing that. Good Luck
