Hello everyone

I've been looking for a post on the forum for a long time and just can't find it.
It's about the oil circuit, which is closed with shut-off valves so that the crankcase does not fill up. Everything was with photos and good tips (e.g. hanging keys on the shut-off taps etc. etc.)

Who can help me?

Thank you very much!!

This ski had leaking crank seals so I installed this shut off valve. On each end of the valve are the hoses that run to the bottom of each side of your motor. I filled with thickest gear oil I could find. I also added some stop leak additive to the gear oil. Solved my problem.

Do not use any stop leak products. It just swells the seals and isn’t a good solution.

You only need a valve on the intake manifold side, not both.

@etemplet has a valve that works good.

I actually worked on a ski that needed a valve on both sides of the engine. It is a 787 RFI. I put the valve on the inlet line and the engine filled up with oil twice. The internal leak must be bad enough that it is drawing oil from the discharge side. I didn't do a lot of testing and I hope what I did works. It is my cousin's ski and I told him they only solution was a new engine. Very strange issue.

My conclusion for the double valves is the leak will have to pull a vacuum for oil to enter into the crankcase. I hope this is true. LOL Otherwise cuz needs an expensive engine. The ski runs great. :)

Just a note, if the ski with the double valves was mine... I'd pull the engine and fix it right. :)
