Hi all! I have a 97 seadoo gsx & my 5 amp fuse keeps blowing. Sent mpem to all things custom get it back install it connect lanyard get 2 beeps hit start button & same thing happens! 5 amp fuse blows. So I bypassed the solenoid And it turns over! What the Hec is wromg? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICIATED!

Bill let's assume, (and I hate that word) that the MPEM is repaired properly. Disconnect the yellow wires from the rectifier, then plug the 5amp fuse in, being that, this is the fuse that pops when power is supplied, if it pops, disconnect the red wire from the rectifier, then install fuse again. Don't use any thing bigger then the 5amp fuse, if it doesn't blow the fuse now it is more than likely the rectifier or possibly the stator. If the 5 amp fuse still pops, the board is still bad...contact Mike, at All Things Custom.

I hope this helps...

Same Problem here but....

Same problem here, but... what if the 5 AMP blows intermittently? I have a 97 XP also, but it started blowing the 5 AMP fuse when I get it in the water and drive it for several minutes. When I get it back home and try to troubleshoot the wires, the 5 AMP fuse DOES NOT blow! SO I take it back to the lake and ride it for a while and then it blows again! This has happened to me 3 times. So, when I check the rectifier wires, they are all good. I doubt that its not the MPEM board, otherwise it would pop all the time.

Any Ideas?

I'd try one more time at lake, but w/ handful of fuses...With good/charged battery, troubleshoot system with, disconnecting the "vts" system(pull plug on unit), if pops, disconnect the wires at rectifier(yellows and red), give nutha try. If all 3 systems still pop, then, yep..contact Mike(allthingscustom).
