Considering doing a 255hp upgrade from my 215hp ski and wanted to hear from members regarding the use of 42lbs Green Giant aftermarket injectors. Bosh are 3-4 times more expensive than the aftermarket clones, and was concerned that the quality was garbage. Please share your positive and negative experiences.

Thank you in advance.

I would shy away from the knockoff stuff personally...or at the very least if you wanted to take a gamble, flow test them before using. I've seen them test FAR below the stated rates. There is a reason they are so cheap, and when you are trying to increase power, you want to keep it as reliable as possible. This is a way to induce reliability issues.

Just my $0.02! We offer the 42# injectors on PWCMuscle.com and you can use FACEBOOK10 to save 10%.

There's a reson they are so cheap. They don't flow consistently all the time. I'd spend the extra hundred bucks or so to get the good ones and possibly save a $3500 motor. I'd be stupid to melt a piston over $100

"They don't flow consistently all the time" Do you have any proof of this claim?
"There's a reson they are so cheap." Of course there is.

How many different actual manufactures are there of these injectors?
Considering that NONE of these injectors sport the manufactures or suppliers name on the injectors body, how do you know what your getting? They could all be made in the same manufacturing plant and just packaged to accommodate the retailer.
Do you know if Bosh is still manufacturing their current inventory of injectors or if they are outsourcing?
So then is it possible that Bosh is selling the same exact injector as wholesaler’s at an inflated price?

Opinions are just that, so I’d like to base an educated decision on facts and not speculation.

Has anyone had an issue with any type of NEW injector sold as a Green Giant Bosh type?
If so, where did they buy it?

I don't know what proof you're looking for but I can tell you my first hand experience with them. I had bought a set for a project I was working on a few years back. 42lb or so they claimed. Installed them and proceeded to work on a tune. I could not get the air/fuel ratio where I wanted it and took me quite some time to narrow it down to the actual injectors. Bought new quality name brand injectors and problem was solved. Took the "bargain" 42lb injectors flow tested and came back with numbers as low as 27lb on one of them. Under boost that kind of variation is the difference between a safe condition and a melted piston is a split second. Your motor your choice. Me I'd spend the extra cash and buy something already proven. There's places where you can pinch your pennies but fuel delivery is not one of them. Best of luck to you.

How did you know they were "Name Brand"? Was the injector side printed with a manufactures/suppliers name? I have yet to see an injector with the name "BOSH" printed on it, have you?

Still waiting to hear from those who melted a piston from a NEW injector quality control issue.

42#ers are $199 for 3 in the PWC Muscle store and you can save 10%. These are the safe choice and the only choice you'll hear people with experience recommend.

While I happen to agree, it seems like he's dead set on buying those cheap ones and won't listen to any advice. His ski, his money, his choice, not my problem.

I'm new to these forums and I'm already being belittled by a premium member! What gives?

I have only asked simple straight forward questions trying to educate myself. At no point have I indicated that I was buying one over the other or whos advise I was taking under advisement. Unless your a mindreader, you have NO idea what I'm thinking or planning to do.

May I request that we please stay on topic, answer the questions asked and keep the snide comments to yourself?

Ok since I hurt your feelings the first time around by sharing my opinion and first hand experience with the product you're asking about, I'll just answer your questions. Mind you I'm just another guy that shares a common interest with. I'm not someone who does research and keeps track of all the info you request. I simply share with you what I know. So back to your questions.

I don't recall what was I the injector or packaging as far as print goes. If you buy from a trusted vendor such as PWC Muscle or others you will get a quality product. When it comes to eBay you aren't always sure with what you are getting as far as quality especially the inexpensive stuff.

Nobody is chiming in to share their experience on how they blew up their motor using these injectors because I can't think of anyone in this forum that would be willing to gamble a $3500 engine to save a couple of buck on injectors.

Lets keep this friendly gentlmen.. Good information was given and it seems it was taken in a different way that what intended. It is easy to take things personal and spiral out of control.
