3d di U shaped exhaust hose

Just wondering is there any reason that the exhaust hose shaped like a big U on the 3D DI cant be made shorter. .reason l ask is mine has become very thin in spots from heat and seadoo dont make them anymore . I was hoping to find out if l can make something up and if anyone else has done the same

It's the only thing stopping water backing up inside the system, I would try and find a second hand one online or you might be able to make (or have one made) an alloy two 90° bends and then connect the rest with rubber hose joiners so you can fit it all in the hull and allows a bit of movement, just make sure the ends have a swage on the end as to ensure the hoses don't slide off
