We purchased a 2018 SeaDoo GTI 155 Limited that needed a new impeller bearing. I think the ski had been in salt water on a floating dock and the backend had been sitting in salt water. The dealership originally said that it needed new bearing, shaft, etc. However, they called back later and said that a couple of the bolts broke off in the housing due to the rust and they also need to replace the house. The cost added $400 to the bill. I am ok with replacing it, since we live on a fresh water lake and the ski will never see salt water. Also, I don't want problems on the lake, so I am all for new parts. However, I am just curious if anyone has ever had that issue with the bolts breaking and needing to replace the housing. The shop is closed today, but I do plan on calling back to make sure that cost includes a new wear ring, since I assume that they are not reusable. Any comfort would be great.
