Hi there,I have a 2017 rxp300 that has been sitting unused for 2 years,engine was rebuilt 2 years ago and only ridden a few times after rebuild,tried starting the other day and it turns over but wouldn’t start,sounds as if the battery is dead but it’s not,engine light comes on also,any ideas?

When you turn the ski on, you should hear the fuel pump run and pressurize the fuel delivery system, so make sure the fuel pump is working. You also need to make sure your spark plugs are working, and maybe replace them for good measure. I think it might be best to search a YouTube video with someone checking a Seadoo for spark than explain it here… but you can pull a spark plug out, attach it to the coil again, and then turn the engine over with the plug grounded to the engine for a few seconds to see if there is spark. If you have a fuel pump that works, and spark, then you will have to begin more difficult diagnosis of fuel injectors, throttle body, and sensors that might require some equipment and expertise.
