Looking to purchase a ski for next year and I figured now would be the time to buy. I found a 2015 gts 130 new for $6250 not including tax. I'm new to skis and was wondering Is this a good price? I plan on keeping the ski in my garage until next season just looking to pick one up at a good price. Thanks for any help!

Also is this a good model for reliability? I'm not looking for a ton of features but I would like to add a rear step up which I do not think is on this particular ski. Really just looking for a ski me and the fiancé can cruise around on for the day!

Considering a GTX is10 grand and up, the price is good.

The GTI is a good full size entry ski. Not easy to modify if you desire more performance.

Very reliable hull and engine.

I would assume with the 16's coming out this is a good time to shop for a 15'.
they start at 8K so 6250 sound perfect.
I was doing a bit of research on the 15/16 models yesterday and kid of bypassed the gts because it had no IBR, its not a big deal for most people but the customer I had in mind I know would appreciate it. IBR is pretty awesome But frankly at $6250 IMO there is no reason to search much further.

i bought a brand new 2015 last July and love it! should prove very reliable and plenty of power for a n/a ski. the price you posted is excellent! i added the boarding step and is well worth it. also the IBR is fantastic!
let us know if you get it. i choose the GTI hull for it's nimbleness and ability to handle chop well.

Thanks for the responses! I'm going to look at it tomorrow. It's still in the crate which is something I like. I didn't realize it didn't have ibr but I can live without it. They have a 1000 dollar freight/assembly charge which is a huge bummer. Is that pretty outrageous for a dealer charge or normal?

That numbers sounds VERY high to me. I bought two skis and I think I paid $250 for the prep/build work.

the GTI 130 does come with IBR!
the set up fee is pretty high! that being said still not a shabby price sense the full msrp is $9200 mine was $7900 after rebate with no set up fee plus tax and title. wouldn't hurt to ask if they will throw in the boarding step or cover, all they can say is yes or no.:)

I bought a new GTX155S this fall and the dealer Waved the prep charge. They kept throwing stuff in until it was a offer I could not turn down. Negotiate w/ them, they want to get rid of it as bad as you want to buy it!!!!

I didn't like the GTI color scheme, way too blue for my taste...

I was under the impression that yes, the GTI has IBR, the GTS did not so I was remarking based on what the OP was targeting. My info could be wrong I was on a comparison website that I stumbled across, which actually I thought was pretty good info, I wish it compared 3 manufacturers and not just SD but at least when it comes to SD I found everything I was looking for as far as spec's.

The GTI has a very efficient speed boat type hull with a 16 degree dead rise that along with the econ mode enables you to go a whole tank on one tank of gas and a top speed of 56 mph. Unlike full size boats , the high performance jet skis have a deep v hull that requires a lot of hp to push through the water. The deep v hull gives these boats amazing cornering ability's and the ability to make it in the ocean. If you take a test ride in a GTI 130 and find out how fast it turns at a rate way abouve any full size boat you have driven and if like me wonder why you would need any more. ALso the VTS system acts to increase cornering I have read and unlike a full size boat does little to increase top speed in the GTI 130 se . Just look under the boat to see that at full throttle the amount of planning surface in contact with the water which is small . You are limited in how much you can raise the bow in a pwc without the engine losing its source of water. SO if you were thinking about getting the SE that that's a thought.
