I can't believe it, just read it online... Unbelievable.. Wow

I guess I really screwed up on this investment, just to tell you I was considering the Yamaha sx190, what a trip, I read that they are giving all recent purchasers a free 5 year warranty..

I guess they will still be supporting the engine and everything else since they do go into their pwc lineup..

What a shame, also I'm very grateful that I made Bert's mega mall stipulate a 3 year warranty.. But if they go out of business?...wow...

Maybe I should have bought a Yamaha... Maybe I'll trade it in, even if I take a huge loss... Probably will do that... How sad...

Don't overlook the possibility that in this weak economy, Yamaha could decide to quit making boats for the same reasons as Seadoo

Why would it matter? Seadoo isn't going out of Biz... they just aren't making boats. Your warranty is in full effect, and all the parts are available. The engine and drive are the same as the ski's... and the rest of the hull parts aren't made by seadoo anyway. Cables, steering unit, throttle assembly, grab handles, cup inserts, radio... etc... they are generic boat parts.

If you want a yamaha... fine... but the 190 yami is a totally different boat from your speedster.

Thanks Doc!

Your right, it is a different beast, great reviews, and honestly doc, its only a little bit more money (and only about $3 to $5k more).. with 7+ passenger capabality..

I wasnt ready for a bigger boat yet, but you never know, in 3 years, I probably would want a bigger boat... I love my Seadoo, but I also like the Yami. Also I was going to test drive the new Yami 190, but the California Government didnt allow Yamaha to bring the new SX190 in our state, so the only way for me to take a look at it, was going to Arizona.

But I jumped at the chance of the speedster since it was a lot cheaper when Berts had it on sale...

heres a SX190 for sale at ebay.com

Oh well, water over the dam..

Not much chance there. They out produce and outsell Seadoo. They have presold most and sold out all models each year for quite some time. Dealers are excited about Yamaha opening a second production facility in the US this year! You can bet they will be building 190 class boats as fast as they can now to help capture that SeaDoo entry market.
