2010 255hp Speedster max speed issues??

Hey everyone, just took delivery of a brand new 255hp 150 Speedster 2 months ago.

So far the boat has 16 hours on the clock but is yet to reach its full potential I don't think.

Just some stats so far:

• 16 hours
• Max Speed 80km/h (49.7mph) in calm water (1/4 tank fuel, 1 x 70kg passenger, no additional weight)
• Generally boating in choppy water

Can anyone explain to me why Im not getting more power and speed out of the boat? Is it just the engine isnt fully run in yet? What do I need to do.

Brake in period tuneing

I am not sure if this is relevent for you, but if you have not had it in for the 10 hour inspection/service with the dealer, your boat probably still has the break in tuning. they de-tune the motor from the factory and at the first 10 hour service they program it for full duty

hmm i dont think thats it the boat has been serviced at 10 hours and there wasnt much of a change

You should be seeing mid to upper 50's Whats your max RPM hitting?

are you going by the speedo or gps? the speedometers are not accurate.
