I have a 07 150 speedster and was wondering if i needed to flush it when i got out of the salt water each time. I know it has a closed loop cooling system but what is the hose hook up for in the rear above the jet pump?

Also does anyone else have stereo problems?

Yes, you definately want to flush it after each time it's in salt water. You should also be sure to rinse the boat really well. The manual describes the steps (connect hose, start engine, immediately turn on hose, run for 20 secs at fast idle, turn off hose, stop engine)

I also cover all parts (engine, jet drive etc etc) with some sort of silicone lube to make sure things don't corrode.

As far the radio, I'm not sure if you have the same radio as my 2004 Sportster, but the radio sucks. It's hard to control, hard to see in the light etc etc. That's on the top of my list to replace. (After the tach, speedo, carpets, etc)

i guess what im trying to find out is where does the fresh water go when i hook up the hose. i know it sounds dumb but i have been woundering for a while since it has a closed loop cooling system.

Flush

When you flush with the hose your flushing the exhaust manifold of the engine.
