2006 utopia 205. What is it 2 stroke or 4

People ask if the boat is 2 stroke or 4. I have been saying it's a 4tec. As I do not know for sure. Anyone know what my response should be ?

Based off the pics you posted in another thread, it appears you have the 4tecs which are 4 stroke.

4 stroke means it takes 4 piston strokes to make 1 power cycle. 2 stroke means it takes 2 strokes to complete 1 power cycle. 2 strokes require oil injection or premix and have no valve train (read simple).

2 strokes make power very differently than do 4s.
