First time winterizing by myself..
I have a few questions, on the shop manual it says
1.fill up the fuel tank
Do we really need to fill it up? Is it Ok to fill up half and add the fuel stabilizer

2. Verify jet pump grease for water contamination.
Do we have to open up the cone to verify this?

Finally Is anyone form eastern ontario (ottawa) area? I am looking for a place to buy fuel stabilizer, oil, filter etc..

Plastic tanks...no need to fill to top but add Sta-bil.
Do you have a Canadian Tire near you?

the cone needs to come off to check for water...easy to do. ....search the threads for this job.

Yep, what he said. I always add the sta bil before the last trip out, and wherever the tank is at the end of the day is where it stays for the winter. Taking the cone off is to make sure no water got in and will rust over the winter. Its a little different on the older 2 stroke models, it is actually a gear oil that gets changed.
