I have been a fan of Seadoo personal crafts for years. I am new to this forum and searched it out because I am interested in buying a 2006 speedster wake that I found. This being our first Seadoo boat I wanted to ask a few questions to those of you that have experience with the non prop world.

1. Would you let the recall of the towers effect your decision to buy a 2006 Speedster Wake?

2. What would you consider a great price for this boat with a 310hp engine, 20 hours of ride time, trailer, cover, and tower. (in excellent condition)?

3. Maybe some pros and cons of this type of boat...What do you like most/least?

I am looking for general information and things to look for when making this purchase. Any help you guys can provide would be awesome.

Thanks!

Speedster....

Your interested in a really nice boat.

To answer your questions, ........

1. No, I would not let the tower recall affect my decision. But, I would make sure I got that tower replaced by the recall requirements. This is a paid for item........

2. The boat retails anywhere from $16k to $18k in great shape. It listed for about $32K........so, that should give you some idea of the value. Remember, deduct for every blemish or part that does not work....

3 I don't see how this is a viable question. Because this is an opinionated question, you may find people who thought they got ripped and others that that it was awesome. The boat is ideally designed wor wake boarding or any other towable good time on the river. With the ability to ballast the boat to create large following wakes, it's the best Seadoo for trick boarding..........

I would buy one if i had they money

Make sure that its never been stored in the water. I will never buy any kind of watercraft thats been kept in the water. You can also take the boat to the dealer and they will hook it up on the computer (buds) and give you a complete history oh how the boat was drivin and maintained.

I don't have the same model, but I can say that I've used mine all last summer for wakeboarding and just about any other towable and loved every minute of it. Coming from all prop driven boats in the past, driving a jet boat is the same as switching from a school bus to a sports car. They accelerate and corner a lot faster than anything else I've had on the water. The only nuisance I found with wakeboarding in particular is trying to keep the speed constant, but I thought I read somewhere that the wake models actually have a speed control with them..? If that particular boat has that then you'll absolutely love it.
