Hi All,
Again I'm looking for some opinions on a 2006 Seadoo Gtx Limited, I believe its 1500 ish cc and supercharged. The advert says its all in running order, rebuilt and service supercharger at 150hrs, cleaned and well looked after overall.
Any ideas on a decent price for it (advertised as £4250)?
Speed?
Anything else to look for when viewing or in general?
Thanks all!Screenshot_20210206_181715_com.ebay.mobile.jpg

Overall good ski. Do you typical due diligence when buying any used ski.

Ask for proof of maintenance and supercharger being rebuilt. If it hasn't been rebuilt in the last 2 years it will need it, regardless of hours.

If you're unfamiliar with inspecting skis, I'd strongly advise take it to a pro to have them check it out. Well worth the money.

Good info here:

As for the price, not sure how prices are where you're at, but in the US, they're inflated due to heavy sales (people forgoing vacations and instead buying skis due to covid) and lack of new units being produced.

I'd say, if it's in good condition and needs little to no work, it's a fair price.

If it were 2 stroke I'd know what to look for but since I've never had a 4 stroke I was unsure. This is the most fair price imo for any ski in the UK through covid. Prices have skyrocketed and there aren't too many dealers local to me so prices are again high. Is there anything else that may need doing/checking possibly due to age etc or is the supercharger the main cause for possible concern?

That had the ceramic washers in the sc so that is the biggest concern. If those washers failed, the entire engine needs to be gone through. You should ride it to make sure it reaches 8000 rpms and 68mph. If it doesn't, loosen the intake hose to the sc and see if the impeller is spinning freely, takes 1 minute. If it spins freely, it means the sc failure and much more work needed and possibly a new engine depending on damage done.
