Someone has a 2006 Seadoo Gtx 185 SC listed for $2800 with a single trailer. It has been listed for 4 months and was originally listed for $4000. The ski has 96 hours on it and the owner says the wear ring, impeller, oil and coolant has been recently serviced or changed. The owner has had the ski for 2 years and said he is unsure if the supercharger has been serviced. The owner reports he last had the ski out on labor day and it runs as it should.
This seems like a decent deal to me. I was going to go look the ski over, hook it up to a hose, see how it runs and see what the guy would take. It is currently 32 degrees out where I live so it is too cold to water test the ski.
If I got the ski the first thing I would do is rebuild the supercharger. I have did a decent amount of research on these skis and from what I have read as long as the supercharger is routinely maintenanced they can be good skis and reliable.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should be looking out for when I look over the ski? I live in Delaware, does the price seem reasonable?
