2006 RXP Oil Consumption

Bought a 2006 RXP this spring from a mechanic has a newly rebuilt engine and SC. Runs great but seems to be consuming a lot of oil. Around 1 qt per 7 hours. That number is coming from after the first 7 hours with it I got an oil warning while pulling a tight turn. Stopped and checked the oil and the dip stick was dry. Added 1 qt of oil and the level on the dip stick seemed to be correct. Ran problem free for another 7 hours then oil warning again when turning tight. Dip stick is dry again.

all that to ask where is the oil going? Exterior of the motor and bilge is bone dry. Don’t see any oil smoke from the exhaust. Just a little white vapor which I assume is from the ride plate.

anyone had this issue and any possible causes/fixes?

I have 2 of the 05 rxp. This is NOT normal to have oil in the air intake! When you say intake are you talking about the hose from the front that goes into the middle of the supercharger or the hose that goes from the top of the supercharger to the throttle body/intercooler area? Hose #26 in 1st pic and Hose #38 in second picSC2.JPGSC1.JPG

Both of them have oil in them.
Sounds like the Supercharger is letting oil from the engine into the fan on the supercharger. I would pull off the supercharger (only 3 bolts hold it on) and try rebuilding the supercharger again, They are fairly easy to but do require some specific tools to rebuild it. you can look in the shop manual for instructions and pics. There are companies that rebuild them for you for about $450. Call the mechanic you purchased from he may agree to look at it for free since he is the one who fixed it. Make sure to clean out the hoses and throttle body to rid of oil residue.
