My 2006RXT had a lanyard key problem, it wouldn’t always connect and run on either the learner key or the full speed key.
The keys worked fine on my 2008, but wouldn’t start the 2008 because of the different codes ect.
Sometimes if I tapped the post with a screw driver the 2006 would run fine, this worked for awhile until it quit working all together.
I replaced the Dess Post and everything worked except for the hi speed setting.
Learner key works great at 35 mph or 5000 rpm as it did before.
Hi speed key works at 50 mph at 6900 rpm, originally it worked at 67 mph at 8100 rpm the same as my 2008 GTX.
I assume the key went back to factory default and runs at the lower setting.
Do I need to have the key reprogrammed or is there a simple fix to get my key running at top speed?
The post I replaced was a simple 3 wire and the new post was the same.
