Hello guys, im new to this forum and new to the world of boats and lakes. I just purchased a used 05 challenger in mint cond. Took it out to the lake for the 1st time today. It was awesome!! I just ran into one little problem, I had no power at the 12v plug next to the radio. The radio turns on just fine with the engine on/off. I disconnected the red and black wires behind the plug and they showed no voltage on my meter with the key in. I have no owners manual. Is there a fuse box somewhere for the 12v plug? Thanks for any help.

I have the same problem with my 06 challenger. If anyone out there can help it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried trouble-shooting but have came up with nothing!

I fixed the problem. It was pretty simple. There is a small white door on the side of the driver seat, underneath the steering wheel. I opened it and found a little black box that said FUSES. I opened it and pulled each fuse out one by one to see if they were blown. I found a blown one and simply replaced it with the spare fuse supplied in the fuse box of the same amperage. I turned on the battery switch and now had power at the 12V plug with the engine off. Hope this helps ou812.

Thanks for the info. I've looked there and didn't find anything blown. I'll definately try again.

At first i did not check with a meter. I just pulled them out and looked at them. Fuse#3 (blower) was the only one blown. And i dont think that fuse has anything to do with the 12V outlet. Fuse#1 (accessory) should be the one for the 12V outlet, i pulled it out and it did not look blown but i replaced it anyways. Then i turned on the battery switch and got my light bulb fuse tester. There is a grounding point next to the fuses. I had power on all of the fuses and that was it. I should have used the bulb meter first but its ok. If you dont have a meter then at least replace the fuses either way.

Sometimes the fuses blows and you can't see the element is gone.I use a multi meter to doo my test. If you use the 12 volt bulb tester you run a chance of causing a problem in other electrical components if you reverse the connection by mistake.
